Glorious Light Wellness Terms and Conditions

1. Who Are We?

1.1. Business Details

Glorious Light Wellnesss is a business engaged in providing holistic massage services to clients. These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and interactions between Glorious Light Therapies and its Clients. By engaging in a service with us, you expressly agree to comply with these Terms.

2. The Client ("You")


2.1. Client Definition


For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a "Client" is any individual who makes a booking for services offered by Glorious Light Therapies. By making such a booking, the Client confirms that they are entering into a professional therapeutic relationship with Glorious Light Therapies, fully understanding that such services are provided in a setting designed to preserve dignity, respect, and privacy. The Client further acknowledges that they are accepting the services in an environment that upholds high standards of professionalism and safety, and that they have no reason to believe that such services will not be conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards.


2.2. Age Requirement


The Client affirms that they are at least 18 years of age at the time of booking the service. In the case of clients under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent before the booking can be confirmed and they must be present with the underage client at the time of the appointment.

3. General Terms


3.1. Acceptance of Terms


By booking an appointment with Glorious Light Therapies, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. This agreement forms a binding contract between the Client and Glorious Light Therapies.


3.2. Amendment of Terms


Glorious Light Therapies reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice. Any such amendments will be published on the website, and it is the Client’s responsibility to review these Terms regularly. Changes to the Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon posting.

4. Services Provided


4.1. Scope of Services


Glorious Light Therapies offers a range of complementary and alternative holistic massage services and therapies, including but not limited to:


  • Swedish Massage
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Thai Massage & Thai Herbal Poultice Massage
  • Hot Stone Massage
  • Indian Head Massage
  • Lomi Lomi Kahuna Bodywork
  • Reiki 
  • Seasonal or Special Packages

4.2. Eligibility for Services


Services are available to all individuals who meet the age and health requirements specified in these Terms. Clients must notify Glorious Light Therapies of any medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns that may affect the service provided.

5. Booking and Appointment Policy


5.1. Booking Procedure


Appointments must be booked in advance either via the online booking system, by phone, or in person. A deposit may be required at the time of booking to confirm the appointment.


5.2. Confirmation of Appointment


Upon booking, Clients will receive an email confirming the appointment details. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the booking information.


5.3. Late Arrivals


Clients are advised to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time. If the Client arrives late, the treatment time may be shortened, and the full price of the service will apply.


5.4. Cancellation and Rescheduling


  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
  • Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Clients who cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment or fail to attend the appointment will be charged 50% of the service fee.
  • Rescheduling Policy: If the Client wishes to reschedule, they must do so at least 24 hours before the original appointment time.
  • Exceptional Circumstances: If a Client is unable to attend due to illness or emergency, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.


5.5. Refund Policy


Refunds will not be issued for services that have been rendered. However, if the Client is dissatisfied with the service, they are encouraged to discuss the matter with the therapist at the time of the treatment so that appropriate adjustments may be made. Complaints or concerns should be raised promptly so that they can be addressed adequately.

6. Salon Environment and Conduct


6.1. Ladies-Only Policy


The services provided by Glorious Light Therapies are delivered within a salon that operates under a ladies-only policy. This is to maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all clients.


6.2. Welcoming and Inclusive Environment


The salon provides a space that is designed to be culturally sensitive and welcoming, including Muslim women who may seek a female-only therapeutic environment for their comfort. This policy is integral to the salon's approach to ensuring that all clients feel respected and at ease during their treatment.


6.3. Salon Conduct


Clients are expected to behave respectfully at all times while receiving treatments. Any form of inappropriate or disruptive behavior, including but not limited to harassment or discriminatory actions, will result in the immediate termination of the service, with full payment still required.

7. Health and Safety


7.1. Health Consultation


Before the first treatment, clients must complete a health consultation to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that could affect the treatment. This information will remain confidential and will be used solely to ensure the safety and suitability of the treatment.


7.2. Medical Conditions


It is the Client’s responsibility to inform Glorious Light Therapies of any existing medical conditions, injuries, or pregnancy prior to booking an appointment. Services will not be provided to individuals who have conditions that pose a risk to their health or wellbeing unless otherwise advised by a qualified healthcare professional.


7.3. Hygiene and Safety Standards


All equipment, linens, and tools used in treatments are thoroughly sanitized between appointments. We adhere to the highest standards of hygiene to minimize the risk of cross-contamination or infection. Clients who show signs of contagious conditions may be refused service for health and safety reasons.

8. Privacy and Confidentiality


8.1. Data Protection


Glorious Light Therapies is committed to protecting Client privacy and complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data will only be collected for the purposes of providing services and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law.


8.2. Confidentiality


All personal information and health data provided by the Client is kept confidential. This information will not be disclosed without the Client’s express consent, unless required by law or if there is a risk to health or safety.

9. Payment and Fees


9.1. Payment Methods


Payment for services is due at the time of the appointment. Accepted methods of payment include cash, debit/credit card, or bank transfer.


9.2. Pricing


Prices for all services are listed on the Glorious Light Therapies website or provided at the time of booking. Glorious Light Therapies reserves the right to change service prices at any time. However, any changes to pricing will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.


9.3. Gift Vouchers


Gift vouchers are available for purchase and may be redeemed within a specific time period. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

10. Limitation of Liability


10.1. Scope of Liability


Glorious Light Therapies accepts no liability for any injury or harm resulting from the failure to disclose medical conditions or allergies that could affect the treatment. We are not liable for any damage to personal property, nor for any personal injury resulting from the Client’s failure to adhere to aftercare instructions provided.


10.2. Force Majeure


Glorious Light Therapies is not liable for any failure or delay in the provision of services due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or illness.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution


11.1. Applicable Law


These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.


11.2. Dispute Resolution


In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably through negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


Additional Considerations:


  • If you are bringing children with you, we require that they remain under your supervision at all times. Arts & Crafts activities will be provided to keep them entertained, but their safety is your responsibility. Clients with additional needs are encouraged to contact us prior to booking so we can discuss any accommodations needed.
